Metal Fabrication Technology

This course focuses on the metal structure of the fabric where students do practical work in a variety of situations. Practical work is done in the workshop or on the construction site.

Students must complete their assignments within the given time and usually work in a group that has been set.

The students will learn how to prepare presentation drawings, marking, cutting materials, forming materials, installing metal structures, supervising the installation of metal structures, implementing quality procedures, implementing safety procedures and welding all "T" positions, 1G and 2G.

The students will also be exposed to a variety of metal structure projects to improve their skills and experience, from the said experience can have knowledge in the use of mathematical calculations, statistics, physics, hydraulic equipment, machining equipment, structural drawings and many more. However, in the Oil and Gas Industry, Metal Fabrication Technology work emphasizes safety for all students when they do complicated and challenging work.

Industrial Technician Certificate by the Department of Manpower (JTM)
Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 1, 2 & 3 by the Skills Development Department (JPK)

Employment opportunities are mostly in the industrial sector of manufacturing and factories making building frames, oil and gas pipeline manufacturing as well as small industries manufacturing Grill, Awoning and many more that are based on metal structures.
