17 June 2026 - The Spiritual Affairs Exco of the Student Representative Council (MPP) of ADTEC JTM Tangkak Campus organised the Maal Hijrah Programme to deepen appreciation of the Hijrah event and to shape students of greater excellence, grounded in Islamic values.
The programme commenced with Salat Sunat Dhuha led by Mr Faaiz Bin Mat Hussin. This was followed by a Maal Hijrah lecture entitled “One Date, A Thousand Changes: Building a New Me” delivered by Ustaz Jamaludin Bin Karim.
In his lecture, Ustaz Jamaludin focused on the contemplation of Surah Al-‘Asr, verses 1 to 3. He highlighted the importance of valuing time as an immensely precious blessing in life. He also emphasised the need to continually improve oneself by strengthening faith in Allah SWT, increasing good deeds, and reminding one another of matters that lead to goodness and truth.
As a token of appreciation for the beneficial sharing of knowledge, the event continued with a presentation of a token of appreciation to the speaker. The programme was further enlivened with a Maal Hijrah Quiz involving students to test their understanding of the content delivered throughout the programme.
It is hoped that programmes of this nature will raise awareness and inspire students to embark on self-reformation towards a more positive path, strengthen their identity as Muslims, and practise noble values in daily life. May the spirit of Hijrah continue to be a catalyst for better change in the academic, character, and spiritual aspects of all staff and students of ADTEC JTM Tangkak Campus.
