Welding Technology

This course focuses on theoretical and practical learning in welding processes involving carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and so on.

The students will also learn welding processes such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) and so on. Students will also learn matters related to quality control and assurance, inspection and testing of welding results.

The students will also be exposed to metal cutting methods such as using "oxy-acetylene gas", "disc cutter", "plasma cutting" and "power saw". Students will also be equipped with computer software application skills, Autocad, engineering drawings, safety basics, fittings and others.
